  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

And now minty kisses, it's time for him to rail against you for making a polite suggestion. Have fun with him, he's all yours.

*sigh* Even Socrates would have given up on teaching you anything...you're already too convinced that you have nothing to learn from anyone.

It poses an interesting chicken-egg problem, though. Which came first? Your disdain for everyone else, or everyone else's dismissal of you as a fool.

OK, now that you guys have stopped flirting ....

I first learnt to use chopsticks back in the hippy-drippy sixties when they were de rigueur for eating macrobiotic meals of brown rice and even browner vegetables.

    Disgusting really.

I still use them for rice-based meals and stir-fries, and continue to marvel at their versatility.

They are the best tool for cleaning caked-on dirt out of the vanes of a vacuum cleaner filter, and for freeing up the sludge in sink-traps without all that tedious unscrewing.
Then just wipe them off with a damp rag and they're ready for the next stir-fry.

    Just don't tell your dinner-guests.

They're great for stirring pasta, too. And tying your hair up with.

The closest I've ever been to Oakham was playing with my brothers model railway set-up when I was a kid. That was the name he gave to it, and I never knew it existed until today.

    Darndest thang!

    It's a moderator thing.
Good to see you Piggit, it was getting kind of lonely around the nether forums.

    Oh, shame.

I'll be there for a week on a singing school with the Tallis Scholars. We get a fair amount of time off, and the ale's mighty good.

i'm awful with chopsticks. we got vegetarian sushi and soy sauce from tescos and my partner taught me how to use them... took me ages to actually eat though :)

if forks and knives were wiped out in the great culinary war of 2009 and the only sort of cutlery left was chopsticks, i'd use my hands :p

As a college graduate, 2 times over, electromechanical/fluid power (good community college!), as well as certifications from two private schools(AutoCAD, AB PLCs) I too, take umbrage! harummmph!

I am not boastful, but also in high iq range. To the best of my knowledge, it is genetic. Reasoning, and deducive powers were mentioned. What waa there?: math, memory (pictures, images to be recalled), juxtapositiioning, associative skills,...
If you are smart, generous and kind, this counts for more, imo.
To me there are Three kinds of smarts: IQ, empiracle knowlege(inc. formal and informal learning) and wisdom.

The last one inc. common sense, is what man seems to have least of.

btw: I practice the use of chopsticks in Chinese restaurants, I find it a good way to practice some dexterity.

I don't even know if the plant they asked us about really exists, but anyway. We're not talking about a take-home test or homework. So even if there would be an entire book about it, it wouldn't help you unless you knew the questions before you had a look at the test.

A paper? So you did it at home. Well.. It's not that hard, is it? I don't know much about the cities in numbers, but I'd start with looking up employment rate, social welfare, the percentage of children and young adults involved and so on. Basically, get an idea of people in those cities. If you know the major problems, you start giving possible solutions for them.
Add a bit of crime prevention programs and you should have a good basis to work with.

Oh well, opinion questions. That's not really hard now is it? Especially because it takes you back to what you've studied before the question was asked. You take what you've learned as pro and cons and start debating what school you agree with most and why. Standard questions.

Just to clear things up on the education front.......

The word itself stems from the latin verb....educare..... meaning 'to lead out'.

Therefore....the true purpose of education.....and the role of any good teacher would be to help any student find what is already latent within that student....and set them on the right path.

After that, it's up to the individual......and...you can't teach anyone to be smart......but you can encourage anyone to have an enquiring mind......and a place at the best university in the world is by no means an essential part of that process.
